Updating the Plan

When looking for photos, I wanted to convey the look of an open concept and flexible layout. There would be spaces for people to work, relax, read, do group or independent work. I also imagine that this would match with how the shelving is laid out in the space to create "rooms" for different purposes (like in the images on the left). While there are no walls, the shelves act as walls to divide the space into different rooms, providing the opportunity for the library to have dedicated spaces for certain purposes. This would work well to give students a quieter space to work while still having access to the resources in the library. It also still follows the idea of an open layout without having everything be visible to everyone in the room.

Additions: Considering the aspect of equitable access, I added a note to "physical layout considerations" to make sure that all spaces can be accessed by most students. The use of "most" seems to be a bit more realistic to start with, as not all spaces will suit all students. As long as there is at least one space or one section that suits each students, I think that is a good start for the library to become a welcoming and community-minded space.
