Maker in My Library

Already in Place

Possibilities for School Community

-      Flexible space

-      Moving tables and chairs

-      Mobile shelves

-      Small break out rooms – useful for collaboration

-      TVs with Wi-Fi connection

-      Laptops

-      Printer/photocopier

-        Dedicated makerspace

-        Setting up partnerships with other community members (students and teachers) to host workshops (or even connect with the local library) in the school

-        Creating a regular schedule for the makerspace

Garner interest for a dedicated makerspace to get funding for things like a 3D printer

More than just resources, what values or attitudes should be in a makerspace?
